To learn more about orthodontic options for you or your child, the first step is an orthodontic consultation with one of our orthodontists.
At Fresh Smiles Advanced Orthodontics and Dental Care Clinic, all orthodontic consultations are free and do not require a commitment to begin treatment. Your orthodontic consultation will provide you with the opportunity to take a tour of the office, meet the orthodontist and the staff, discuss any concerns you may have, and discover what treatment options are available for you or your child.
What to expect during an orthodontic consultation
Your consultation will provide you with the opportunity to take a tour of the office, meet the orthodontist and the staff, discuss any concerns you may have, and discover what treatment options are available for you or your child.
During your initial consultation, you can expect the following:
A review of your dental and medical history
An oral exam and possible X-rays
A preliminary customized treatment plan
An explanation of all costs, insurance options, and payment plans available.
A question and answer session about your treatment plan
Common questions we hear during the consultation are:
How long will the treatment take?
What types of treatment options are available, such as metal or clear braces, or Invisalign?
Will teeth need to be extracted?
Orthodontic consultations for children
If the orthodontic consultation is for a child under the age of 18, an adult parent or guardian must accompany the child for the duration of the consultation. Your child’s dentist is trained to identify bite issues at an early age and may recommend that your child see an orthodontist for an initial consultation following a regular checkup visit. Age 7 is usually the most common time for the first orthodontic consultation.
